Apple’s iPhone 5C and 5S to launch on Sept. 20 in Japan

Apple is expected to hold an event on September 10 to unveil their new line up of iPhones.  This time, instead of just one iPhone like previous year, there will be two iPhones launching.  The iPhone 5S will be the premium quality offered headset, while the iPhone 5C will be the low-cost headset made from polycarbonate and lowered specs.

In a new report from Japan’s Nikkei, states that both new iPhones will hit the shelves of the market and will be available for purchase at SoftBank and KDDI.  Previously, Japan was amongst those markets that received the iPhone 5, so this time around, the market is getting both new iPhones.

The iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S are expected to launch in Unites States on September 10, and then September 20 everywhere else.  Traditionally, Apple launches in some mainstream markets at first, then slowly releasing the phone in newer markets as production is able to keep up with demand.

The new iPhone 5S is rumored to feature a fingerprint sensor under the home button, faster processor, dual-LED flash with improved camera, and the same shell as the iPhone 5.  For the iPhone 5C, this new low-cost iPhone is said to feature the same specs as the iPhone 5 and sharing the body with the previous generation iPhone as well.  The shell of the new iPhone 5C will be made from cheaper material to keep the cost down.
