Microsoft is testing Xbox party chat on Android and iOS

The Jolt Journal (https://www.joltjournal.com)

Microsoft is currently conducting tests for Xbox party chat on the company’s Xbox mobile apps for Android and iOS. If you’re interested in taking party, the beta Xbox app for Android is currently available with the party chat support. If you’re on iOS, you can sign up to test party chat for iOS using this form.

Having party chat inside Xbox mobile apps opens doors for being able to talk to your friends on Xbox Live. This reminds us of using Discord mobile app on the go if you want to talk to your friends while gaming but don’t want to use the console’s chat system. This is definitely a useful feature if you’re not near your console and want to chat with your friends.

Microsoft usually brings beta features to its main Xbox apps within a few months of development, so this should be available on the regular iOS and Android apps very soon.
