heres how to watch teslas model y unveiling tonight

If you’ve been eagerly waiting as we have, tonight, Elon Musk will take the stage at Tesla’s design studio in Hawthorne, California, to reveal the Model Y to the world. The Model Y will be Musk’s latest electric model for the masses. So far, we don’t have many details about the Y, beyond a picture that’s been revealed, as well as some minor details.

How to watch tonight’s Model Y unveiling

The Model Y is scheduled to be unveiled starting at 8pm Pacific Time. It’s worth mentioning that Musk has a habit of kicking things off a little later than scheduled.

Tesla is expected to live stream this event on its website. All you have to do is head over to https://livestream.tesla.com/. When you read the page now, you will be asked to register your name, email, and a phone number, promising to send an invite to watch along “in the hours leading up to the event.” If you feel like you can wait, you can just wait until Tesla puts the whole event on its YouTube page after the event is over.

As always, you can follow along with us on social media and on the website as we break things down with what’s latest on Tesla Model Y.

Model Y Details

The Model Y is expected to be a small SUV, will of course be all-electric, be a fourth model to go on sale by Tesla, and unfortunately, will not be cheaper than the Model 3. So if you were expecting the Model Y to be a cheaper option than the Model 3, you’re in for some disappointing news.

At tonight’s event, Musk will take the stage to lay out the Model Y’s specs, special features, and design highlights that help it stand apart from the rest. At the event, Tesla will offer test rides, but past experiences indicate that attendees will not be able to get behind the wheel themselves since these cars are early prototypes. As an added bonus, given today’s holiday status, Musk said the event will come “with pie.”

Tesla adding Model Y, a small SUV (crossover), to its lineup is the next logical step. The company will further establish itself as a mass automaker and directly challenging other companies in what’s offered in the electric vehicle market. SUVs, especially in American, are incredibly popular among the masses, so much so that automakers Ford and GM have been recently announced they will no longer build cars for the US, instead focusing on SUVs, crossovers, and pickup trucks.
