For as low as $240, Amazon will install a full smart home security system for you

Amazon is looking to beef up its home security offerings to customers, especially after purchasing the smart doorbell company Ring. TechCrunch discovered a portal on Amazon‘s Smart Home Services section that offers some interesting details about full home security packages the company is offering to consumers.

Amazon is offering five packages with different pricing tiers. These prices cover in-home visits from experts, the smart home devices you want to have installed and the installation fees. While the company hasn’t officially announced the service just yet, it appears that you’ll only have to pay once. There is no mention of monthly service fees that some other service providers charge.

Taking a look at the cheapest package that costs $240, it includes an Echo Dot and an indoor and outdoor lighting system that’s designed to make it look like you’re at home. If you want to go all out, you can spend $840 which will includes an Echo Dot, a smart siren, motion, door and window sensors, a Ring vide doorbell, an Amazon Cloud Cam, a wireless speaker you can program to play sounds of dog barking or any others you want, an air quality monitor, a smart home hub, motion-detecting solar lights, motion-detecting spotlights and a smart flood and leak sensor.

In the information gathered from the portal page, it appears that Amazon has been offering this service since last December. If you’re interested in the packages, it seems like a great way to get a full smart home installation in one instance if you’d prefer to not install the device by yourself individually. At this time, it’s unclear if this service is available nationwide or only in select areas for now.
