Twitter has updated its iOS app with a host of new features that might catch your eye.  One of the most popular Twitter clients that people use is TweetBot, but now Twitter is trying to gain even more users back to its own app.  There are several features introduced in this update, one of the most important being what’s called the ‘Two-step Verification‘ process or ‘Two-factor verification‘.

What this feature essentially is that when you use your app from your phone, it memorizes the location data, time, and what not.  So next time you log onto your twitter from a web portal, the information is compared from the data received from your phone, then verified.  These settings can be managed from with in the app itself so you don’t run into any problems.  If for some reason you don’t have your phone handy, Backup codes can be used for verification.  Back in May, Twitter introduced the login SMS feature, so this is another step towards making security more tight.

Other features that are introduced in this update are new photo gallery view, improved search and now users can finally manage their lists in-app.

With Twitter on version 5.9, this feature is available right from the new update.  Why not get downloading?
