hulu with ads is now free for all spotify premium subscribers

Spotify for Students subscribers have been enjoying free Hulu with Ads for some time now. This is something that Spotify Premium users have been missing out on, but there’s some excellent news. Spotify has announced a new bundle to new and existing subscribers: $9.99 per month Premium plan will now include access to all Hulu TV shows and movies. The catch here is that Hulu’s free account users get is ad-supported, which normally costs $5.99 per month by itself.

Starting today, if you’re a current Spotify Premium subscriber, you can activate the Hulu bundle or link your existing Hulu accounts to Spotify’s services page. After you sign up, subscribers can then head on over to Hulu to watch TV and movies via supported devices or straight on Hulu.com.

Spotify Premium users should rejoice. According to a recent Nielsen report, the percentage of US homes that are without traditional cable or satellite TV has increased over the past 8 years, bringing to a total to 16 million households.

With the new Spotify Premium Hulu-supported plan, this gives more and more people reasons to quit traditional TV subscriptions and instead opt in for less expensive, contract-free, Internet-based streaming services, such as Hulu. This is a great look for both Spotify and Hulu because they distinguish themselves from their biggest competitors, such as Amazon Prime, Netflix, and Apple Music.

There is a caveat, however. The promotional image for the deal says, “Limited quantity of offers: open until 6/10/19 or while supplies last.” Unfortunately, if you’re part of Spotify Family plan, you are not eligible for this bundle. Hulu is currently only available for those with an individual Spotify Premium subscription.
