Samsung Galaxy S9 is now available for purchase

Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S9, has been released today. If you’ve been waiting to read reviews for the smartphones, now you can pick up the device today yourself.

As you’d expect, the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus come with all the bells and whistles you’re used to, packed together. The smartphones come with the same excellent OLED edge-to-edge “Infinite Display” that Samsung introduced with the Galaxy S8 (5.8 inches on the S9 and 6.2 inches on the S9 Plus), comes with the latest SNapdragon 845 processor, and much better placed fingerprint sensor.

In terms of hardware, there are some differences between the smaller and larger devices. For example, the Galaxy S9 Plus, while had the bigger screen and battery, comes with 6GB of RAM (S9 comes with 4GB), and a dual-camera system for portrait mode effects and zooming, which is similar to the Note 8 last year.

The company also introduced a new variable aperture camera system that is being used on the S9. This physically controls the aperture blades on the camera to adjust form the f/2.4 aperture to an f/1.5 aperture in low-light conditions.

Where you want to buy largely depending on who you’re with in terms of carrier, if you’re looking to switch, or purchase the device outright. Don’t worry though, we’ve done a breakdown for you and full guide available to help you make the best choices. Though, we recommend buying the device directly from Samsung because it’s the best option. From them, you’ll be able to pick up the S9 for $719.99 and the S9 Plus for $839.99.
