It appears Snapchat is bringing some hot merch to its store

Several weeks ago, Snap opened up an in-app Snapchat store where the company started selling merch. This was basically designed to be an attempt to have another revenue stream. Despite having some crappy merch on there like a dancing hot dog, the company is bringing some hot offerings.

During yesterday’s All-Star game in Los Angeles, Snap held a concert that doubled as a sneaker drop for yet-unreleased Jordans. Despite having the shoes on there, you can’t exactly buy them on site. You have to scan the QR code that will then allow users to purchase a pair of the AJ III Tinkers, which are expected to go on sale March 24th in Snapchat’s merch store.

Generally speaking, sneakerheads are used to using apps to pick up shoes, but this is also a good indication that the company has more than just some hot dog merch for sale. The company will probably plan more produce releases like this in the future when big events come up.
