Google’s Pixel 2 is no longer available for purchase from Verizon

Ahead of Google’s upcoming New York City event where the search engine giant is expected to announce the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, Verizon is no longer selling the current-gen Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL devices.

First noticed by Droid Life, Verizon was previously selling the Pixel 2 as recent as last month, per Internet Archive, but is no longer available. While Verizon is no longer selling the device (see image below), the 64GB unlocked version of the devices is still available through Google.

If you really want to get your hands on the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, you might want to go into a Verizon store to see their inventory. What’s the best recommendation? Wait until after Google announces their new Pixel devices because the Pixel 2 devices will be discounted.

When Pixel 2 was released last year on October 19th, much like the original Pixel phones, it was again exclusive to Verizon. It’s entirely possible that Verizon will retain the exclusivity for the upcoming Pixel 3 devices that are set to be unveiled on October 9th.
