New report suggests Apple to hold iPhone event on September 12

According to a report from The Wall Street Journal, Apple will be holding an event on September 12 to launch the next iPhone. The highly anticipated iPhone 8 is expected to be announced at the event, along with the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus.

The flagship device of course will be the iPhone 8 (possible name) and with it, we will see Apple dive into a new area where they introduce edge-to-edge OLED display and 3D face scanning technology. This is an area where Apple has never dived into and is introducing it in the iPhone 8.

For the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, they are expected to retain similar design features of previous models. We may see a slight change with an updated glass back design. With this, Apple will introduce wireless charging on all of the new iPhones.

Apple has not sent out any invitations for the September event, but since August is slowly coming to an end, perhaps the company will send our invitations later this week or next week.
