Microsoft’s Xbox One X made its debut early November, and it brought a lot attention. The console promised next-generation gaming experience, but questions still remained in regards to how it would support 4K rendering or increased visual effects. According to a new report, Microsoft’s Xbox One X has been outsold by Sony’s PS4 by more than 2:1. Microsoft is looking for ways to turn things around.

According to the NPD Group, Sony shipped more PlayStation 4’s in November than ever before in any given month. The PlayStation 4 sold more units than any other console in the month. Lucky for Sony, the company has gained momentum back from Nintendo Switch.

Now that we have talked a little bit about the PlayStation 4, let us dive into Microsoft’s console. Xbox One X drove more spending than any other platform, and generated more sales in November than in any previous November to date. The sales for both consoles have been very good.

Both companies have beaten their November sales totals from previous years. This is a great win for both companies, even though Sony still outsold Microsoft and took home the bigger piece of the pie. Despite both companies doing well, Microsoft could do a number of things to further fight back against Sony’s PlayStation 4.

One of the things that Microsoft is can is that since Xbox One X has a UHD Blu-ray player and the PS4 Pro doesn’t, Microsoft can try to market its machine as a more useful media hub for families. The company can also push for PC/Xbox integration, and add more support for app sharing across systems. After all, Xbox One X is a computer. The company can also offer promotions by cutting prices, bundling games, and more. Recently, Microsoft started offering popular game PUBG bundled free with a purchase of Xbox One X.
