UK wireless carrier O2 may have just confirmed iPhone 8 release date

Hold your seat because we’ve got some hot news for you. According to a Twitter user known as Benjamin Geskin, best know for many of his iPhone 8 mockups, said that O2 has confirmed to its staff that Apple’s iPhone 8 will be released on September 22nd.

In his tweet, he said that “O2 have confirmed to staff members that iPhone 8 release date is 22nd September in stores. Even though Benjamin is best know for his designs, he’s an occasional leaker as well with a fair track record.

Here’s what Apple’s schedule is expected to look like:

  • September 12th: Announce the new iPhone 8 and other products
  • September 15th: Start preorder availability for iPhone 8 and other iPhones
  • September 22nd: Release date for iPhone 8 and other iPhones

We don’t know where Geskin got his information from, so take it with a grain of salt. Did he get it from independent source? Directly from a carrier source? We don’t know, but safe to say that Apple is set to release the iPhone 8 on September 22nd.
