Much like T-Mobile’s and Sprint’s iPhone X deals, Verizon has brought out their own discounts for its customers. The carrier is offering up to $300 toward the new iPhone X, but you must meet certain specific set conditions.

So, how exactly do you qualify? Well, to qualify, you will have to be a current subscriber of Verizon’s “Go Unlimited” or “Beyond Unlimited” cellular plans, be eligible for upgrade, or you must be a new subscriber on one of those plans. You must also purchase the iPhone X through Verizon, which will set you back $41.66 per month. If you’re upgrading on your current Verizon plan, don’t forget the $30 upgrade fee as well!

You thought that was it? You’re mistaken. On top of the previous requirements, you will also need a recent qualifying smartphone to trade-in. The discount will depend on how recent your device is and what type of device you have.

Verizon lays it out:

  • For $300 off, you must trade in: iPhone 6S or 6S Plus, iPhone 7 or 7 Plus, Google Pixel XL, LG G6, Moto Z2 Force, Galaxy S7 or Edge, Galaxy S8, or S8 Plus
  • For $200 off, you must trade in: iPhone 6 or 6 Plus, iPhone SE, Google Pixel, LG G5, LG V20, Moto Z Force, Moto Z Droid, Moto Z2 Play, Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, or Galaxy Note 5
  • For $100, you must trade in: iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5S, HTC 10, Moto Z Play, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy Note 4

If you’ve made it this far, you’re strong! If you’ve met all of those requirements, your discount will be paid out over 24 months, meaning you will need to stick to your iPhone X for full two years. If you decided that you want to pay the full balance of the phone or switch off the unlimited data plan, you will stop getting your money back, plain and simple.
