Apple TV 4K sells out on Amazon within hours of being on sale

After waiting for two years to see the Apple TV 4K back on Amazon, something unexpected happened. Amazon began selling the Apple TV 4K in both 32GB and 64GB versions, and both are already out of stock.

Amazon began selling the device after a feud with Apple for over two years. Apple stopped selling both Apple TVs as well as Google Chromecasts. The reason is because neither device offered easy access to Amazon Prime Video experience, which is extremely important to Amazon.

Earlier this month, Prime Video app was finally released for Apple TV. Chromecast also saw a similar experience, but the device will reppear in short order on Amazon. Google has started blocking YouTube on Amazon’s Echo Show and Fire TV. Specifically for Fire TV, YouTube is set to disappear on January 1st, 2018, but there is some hope that Fire TV owners won’t lose the app.
