Apple is rumored to announce the upcoming iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C on September 10. In a new report from TmoNews, T-Mobile is blacking out three days where employees are not allowed to take vacation. Those dates are September 20th (Friday), 21st (Saturday) and 22nd (Sunday).
This new report seems to align correctly with the upcoming launch of the new iPhones. Generally, Apple releases the new iPhone to the public a week or two after making the official announcement. While in the past, Apple has given AT&T and Verizon exclusive rights to sell the iPhone first before any other carrier, but perhaps this time, the Cupertino giant is looking to make the iPhone available across all four major carriers at the same time.
This is good news for all of you who are on with one of the four major carriers. You may not have to wait for the iPhone to come to your carrier, especially if you’re T-Mobile or Sprint.
On the contrary, Samsung is due to announce the Galaxy Note III on September 4, but it is highly unlikely that T-Mobile is clearing out their schedules to make way for the Note III. As seen with activity in the past, iPhone launch seems more sense for the carrier to make room in their schedule.
The iPhone has done wonders for the carrier ever since its launch. For the past several quarterly reports, the carrier has reported losses, until the report after the iPhone launch took place. T-Mobile reported a subscriber increase and massive sales of the iPhone on its network.
