If you’re an AMD Ryzen fan, there’s some new exciting news for you. The company has two new Ryzen processors out for desktops that have an interesting addition to them: they come with built-in Radeon Vega graphics. Basically, this combines AMD’s CPU and GPU architecture into a single chip.

With the introduction of the two new processors, AMD is launching two models in the new series: Ryzen 5 2400G and Ryzen 3 2200G. Each chip is a four core processor (Ryzen 5 has eight threads and Ryzen 3 comes with four threads) with Radeon Vega graphics. More specifically, we’re talking about the Vega 11 architecture for the Ryzen 5 chip, and Vega 8 architecture for the Ryzen 3 chip.

In terms of pricing, the Ryzen 5 will cost you $169, and the Ryzen 3 will run you $99. AMD notes that it’s offering some decent savings over buying a comparable Intel processor and Nvidia graphics card. AMD also claims that the more powerful Ryzen 4 2400G processor should be as powerful as an Intel Core i5-8400 processor paired with an Nvidia GT 1030 GPU, which when combined together can easily run over $100 more than AMD’s own single processor unit.

It’s also worth mentioning that AMD’s offerings are designed more as entry-level options for gamers that are looking to put together their own PC, while Intel chips are usually for high-end laptops, where space and battery life are important. That being said, we’re only seeing integrated GPU models for the company’s mid-range offerings and not the higher-end Ryzen 7 and Threadripper models.
