Disney+ will cost $6.99 per month or $69.99 annually

Disney finally revealed its streaming service called Disney+ (or Disney Plus). The company revealed what many wanted to know: the price. The service will cost $6.99 per month, or if you prefer to pay annually, it will cost $69.99. Disney+ will launch on November 12th. In the price, Disney is including many high-profile selection across Disney Signature, Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, National Geographic and Disney Channel libraries. You’re getting all of those before any of the original content, such as all seasons of The Simpsons. There’s also potential discount on price for those bundling a subscription with ESPN+ and Hulu.

At its investor conference, Disney revealed that it expects Disney+ to lose as much as a billion dollars by 2020. The losses will peak between 2020 and 2022 before expecting to become profitable in 2024. It appears the the company is betting on its Disney+ service and lose money along the way to fight with competitors such as Netflix.
