The specifications of Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL- the two new smartphones from Google Pixel smartphones series will be announced on October 4th, at an official event. Droid Life has also published new images of the LG-made device.
Assembled and manufactured by LG, the Pixel 2 XL will be available in black matte, a close recollection of the original one, and a new combination of black and white with a black glass pane at the rear. Another peculiarity is the orange colored power button on the white colored model; though not so great in the first look but shows that Google has guts to innovate too. Preferably, the front of both versions will be black for increased readability and color recognition while usage.
The prices are also quite compatible provided the Google finance options to buy it over a period of 24 months. Reported by Droid Life, the Pixel 2 XL starting at $35.38 per month for 64GB and $849 in one-time cash payment will cost you $949 one-time or $39.54 per month for the 128GB version. So if you are looking for more storage, you are sure to cross the $1000 mark including the sales tax.
Equipped with a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor and expected to be launched with a 6-inch OLED screen, similar to LG V30, Pixel 2 XL is expected to be the leading selling smartphone after its launch. It also might borrow some features similar to HTC U11 but still, there would be a considerable difference in user experience.
In such a competitive market, Google Lens is what that will drive more sales to the Pixel 2 XL. This is because Google sets camera performance and photography as its priority when launching smartphones. It is also noticeable the Google hasn’t let out its Google Lens feature a lot since launching it earlier this year. Remarkably, Pixel remained on top of the sales charts all around the year which is fairly encouraging.
