We know that over the years, KFC has done some pretty weird stuff when it comes to attracting customers. Whether it’s a strange VR cooking experience or suggesting orders based on your face, the company is pulling another stunt now for you Bitcoin owners.
KFC will let its Canadian customers pay with bitcoin for a limited time, as long as they order a new crypto-themed meal bucket (via Motherboard). Named the Bitcoin Bucket, it includes 10 tenders, waffle fries, a side, some gravy and pair of dips. It will run you however much of the crypto currency you can get for $20 Canadian dollars. That’s equivalent to about 0.001167 bitcoin at the time of this writing.
Keep in mind that buying chicken with the fraction of currency now could mean that you’re forfeiting value if the currency’s value goes up again.
Though you may have to wait a little longer to get your hands on the Bitcoin Bucket because it sold out on KFC’s website. Currently, there’s no indication that it will go on sale later. Keep an eye on KFC’s website and social media to see if it will come back. If it does, we will let you know too.
