Don’t worry, the Samsung Galaxy S9 does have a headphone jack

Samsung officially took the wraps off the Galaxy S9 today. Many of you have probably been wondering if the devices have a headphone jack. So, to answer your question, yes, rest assured that the Galaxy S9 smartphones come with a headphone jack.

Several other companies have opted to take out the headphone jack in their leanest devices, like the Apple’s iPhone X and Google’s Pixel 2. Though, Samsung has opted to keep the headphone jack, which will surely satisfy a lot of consumers that are Samsung fans.

Samsung could have done away with the 3.5mm connector, so why keep it? Here’s the thing I’d like to point out: wireless audio is good, but not great though. Right now, no one is asking for the headphone jack to be removed. Having dongles attached to your devices is already frustrating enough.

In addition to having the headphone jack, the Galaxy S9 also comes with new speakers that produce surround sound and are 40 percent louder. In addition, the Galaxy S9 has a new camera system with a mechanically adjustable aperture, AR Emoji, and many more features.

What I have to say is that the headphone jack works, period, so why remove something that’s working fine and make things more complicated? For Galaxy S9 owners, they will enjoy having the headphone jack right out the gate without needing any sort of adaptor. So, enjoy it!
