Last month, Netflix streamed to almost half a billion devices

Netflix just keeps getting more and more popular. The company apparently streamed to 450 million discrete device just in the last month alone, says Greg Peters, Netflix’s chief product officer. The company had 117 million members at the end of 2017, so the number of streaming devices for the average member works out to about 3.9.

It appears that most of the devices were TVs, but the breakdown depends on the region a member lives in, Peters said at Netflix’s headquarters in West Hollywood, California. The company was hosting journalists from more than 30 countries Tuesday and Wednesday for what it calls Labs Day, in which they dive deeper into various areas of the service.

Two years ago, the company went global, except for China. Since then, the company has seen increased and varying demand from different markets. The company is producing shows in 20 different countries, and continues to tweak its service based on a country’s needs.
