How the index works

The index covers the high-yield savings accounts in our high-yield savings tracker. Each rate is copied from the bank's own website on the date in the table, and each bank's name above links to the page it came from. The median is the middle rate when the accounts are put in order from highest to lowest; the top rate is the highest. Figures are from our snapshot of Oct 31, 2026. Savings rates are variable and banks can change them at any time.
