Motorola Moto X now available for purchase on Verizon Wireless, and get 30% off with coupon

nexusae0_2013-08-29-00_58_55-Moto-X-by-MotorolaPreviously, we reported to you that Verizon would start carrying the Moto X very soon.  The sign up page had gone live on August 12, and now starting today, Verizon is officially making the Moto X available to all of its customers.

If you’re looking for color options like you get on AT&T, then you may be disappointed here.  Big Red is only carrying the black or white Moto X on its network.  Perhaps right now, only these two colors are available, but in the future, more colors may become available as time passes. Just like the HTC One “blue edition” is rumored to become available on Verizon’s network, Moto X may become customizable in the future on Verizon.  Personal engraving is also not available on Verizon.

The smartphone is selling for $199.99 with a 2-year contract agreement.  The Moto X is currently the only smartphone in the market that is designed and assembled in US.  Of course production cost of the phone has gone up slightly for Motorola, but this is one area where Motorola can really take advantage of in terms of marketing the phone.

In recent tear down by iFixIt, we saw the smartphone receive a 7 out of 10 repairability score, which is pretty nice.  Moto X features 4.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (316 ppi), a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 1.7GHz dual-core processor (Motorola X8 SoC), a Adreno 320 quad-core GPU, a 10-megapixel Clear Pixel rear-facing camera, 2GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB of memory options and a 2200mAh battery.  Sadly, there is no microSD card slot option, so choose wisely when going for the 16GB (AT&T customers have 32GB option).  As for software, it come with latest Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2.

For those of you who want to grab the Moto X on Verizon for $139.99, you can grab the smartphone at a cheaper price.  Currently, if you use the VERIZON30 coupon on the site while ordering, it will take 30% off from the device cost.  While AT&T may currently have the color selection exclusively, and the 32GB option Moto X, you can take advantage of this offer.
