Chrome’s popular pull-to-refresh feature is making its way to Chromebooks

When you’re using Chrome on mobile, you know how you can use the pull-to-refresh feature? Well, there’s some good news for you Chromebook and Windows-2-in-1 users. It appears that the feature is making its way to Chromebooks and Windows-2-in-1 devices. On Reddit, user lucasban posted (via Android Police) that the feature is now available on the browser’s developer channel on the appropriate platforms.

The feature may not make much of a difference like it does on mobile, being able to refresh Chrome is a bit better and accessible to refresh. The iOS/Android version’s touch control will make a great addition to the touchscreen laptop-tablet hybrids, so it’s definitely a fresh website.

It’s worth mentioning that the feature is currently only available on the developer channel and it’s only made it that far. If you have access to it for Chrome OS and Windows, you will still have to activate the gesture via the hidden flag chrome://flags/#pull-to-refresh. We’ve previously learned that Google’s Chrome team has been working on this feature since at least mid-2017, so hopefully I won’t be too long before it’s released as a public feature.
