Warren Buffett offers $1M a year for life for perfect NCAA bracket

It’s that time of the year again where 60 college basketball teams earn bets for the NCAA March Madness tournament. If you’re an employee that works for Warrant Buffett, you have a chance to walk away with some serious cash for the rest of your life.

Berkshire Hathaway CEO, Warren Buffet, has promised $1 million a year for life to the Berkshire employee who picks the perfect bracket through the NCAA tournament’s Sweet 16. That’s not all because Buffett is sweeting the deal further: if a team from his home state of Nebraska gets the national title, he will offer extra rewards.

“If either Creighton or Nebraska ends up winning the tournament, we’re going to double the prize. So instead of being $1 million, it’s gonna be $2 million,” he said on CNBC.

While this is an amazing offer, the odds of willing either are astronomically high. Though it’s worth mentioning that Berkshire employees don’t need perfect to get some money. Buffett gives out $100,000 to the employee who’s bracket stays on the longest.

To put it into perspective, last year, a West Virginia factory worker won $100,000 for picking 31 of the tournament’s first 32 teams. If you’re a Berkshire Hathaway employee, will you be taking part? I would hope so!
