Are you a victim of last year’s Note 7 debacle? Samsung will give you a big discount

If you are a victim of the previous Galaxy Note 7 debacle, then Samsung is willing to help you. The Galaxy Note 7 and PR nightmare of six months is something Samsung wants to desperately forget. This is a great stepping stone to further move themselves away from the debacle.

Customer who purchased the Galaxy Note 7 are eligible for up to $425 towards the cost of a new Galaxy Note 8, if you trade in your old device. Samsung sold over three million Note 7 device, and still working on recalling every one of them.

Even though the Note 7 debacle caused a lot of issues for Samsung, many Note 7 owners didn’t hate the company. They seemed loyal, and some even went as far as to not wanting to return their Note 7 because they loved it too much.

Specific details on who is and isn’t eligible have not been released yet, but you may possibly find out the specific requirements once preorders go live at midnight tonight.

The recall cost Samsung as much as $17 billion, and giving this discount for Note 7 owners is going to further shake the company’s pocket, but in Samsung’s case, they would rather forget the Note 7 debacle all together and move on from it.
