Leaked images show few parts of upcoming Android 4.4 KitKat

Android 4.4 KitKat Ever since the mistake by Google in their promotional video where the Nexus 5 was shown, not only have the phone been in the spotlight, but also the upcoming Android 4.4 KitKat.  Google’s Android and Chrome head Sundar Pichai confirmed that the upcoming Android version will be called KitKat.

In a new report from 9to5Google, we see a few leaked images of Android 4.4 KitKat.  In the leaked photos, you can see two redesigned parts of the next version.  The first part is the Dialer, and second part is the messaging app.

In the additional photos below, you will notice that the next Android version has been cleaned up.  By that, what it means is that Android 4.4 has been re-polished, recolored, and over all looks quite impressive.  While it may be too early to say such things, but from the looks of the leaked pictures, Android 4.4 KitKat looks to be a good contender against the redesigned iOS 7 from Apple.

Android 4.4 KitKat is rumored for an October release, alongside the next Nexus update.  The Nexus 10 is also expected to be refreshed, from either Samsung or Asus with Android 4.4 running on it.

What do you think?  How does Android 4.4 KitKat look to you?
