Fans of “Game of Thrones,” there's some juicy news for you regarding the final six episode of the series. On Friday, HBO confirmed that the long-awaited eight season of the blockbuster show will premiere on April 14. It will only have six episodes, but each of the features are described as their own feature-length film. Some of the episodes will have a run time of up to 90 minutes.

Fans were expecting a runtime of around hour and 30 minutes, but the final four of the six episodes will exceed the one hour mark to bring some incredible and juicy action to fans.

HBO has previously teased that this season will feature the longest battle sequence ever committed to film. Mind you, “Game of Thrones” has been a cornerstone of HBO's streaming service for nearly a decade now, garnering an incredible fan base of the show and channel.

Since “Game of Thrones” is slowly wrapping up, HBO has a number of new projects in the works for 2019 and beyond, including “Lovecraft Country” from Jordan Peele (“Get Out”) and J.J. Abrams (“Lost”), and a series based on the graphic novel “Watchmen” from Damon Lindelof (“The Leftovers”).
