Bird, the company behind the e-scooters, is now making it easier for customers to get their hands on its scooters. The company is offering delivery to those that want to have access to the scooter all day long.
Through the new service, Bird Delivery, a customer can request to have a scooter delivered to them directly at their location, such as their home or office, for all day use. The scooter will be dropped off by 8AM and can be used anytime throughout the day.
“Bird was created to provide an equitable, convenient and reliable alternative to short car trips,” Bird CEO Travis VanderZanden said in a statement. “Since launching, we are continually inspired by riders who opt for Bird rides over traveling by car, and share in the pain of riders when they express frustration about not having consistent and reliable access to Bird. With Bird Delivery, we are aiming to address this pain point by guaranteeing they have access to a Bird when and where they need it and throughout the day.”
While Bird Delivery is making it easier to access their e-scooters, you will have to join their waitlist ahead of launch. Specifics information such as pricing, availability, and pilot cities will be made available soon.
