Leaked: Pictures of the gold iPhone X

Here’s what’s funny: on the same day that Apple’s memo urging employees to not leak company information, we just got, well, another leak. This time, however, it wasn’t from anyone Apple itself, rather it came from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

Spotted by 9to5Mac, a gold iPhone X appears to have arrived at the FCC office. When looking at the picture (above), you’ll notice that the tones of the gold on iPhone X are shinier, and a bit darker than the gold iPhone 8. One of the main noticeable differences with the gold iPhone X is that it has black bezels compared to white ones on the iPhone 8.

Though the leak from the FCC isn’t completely unreliable, don’t get your hopes up until Apple introduces it themselves, which could likely happen at WWDC this year. Something else that 9to5Mac pointed out that the iPhone X has a model identifier of “A1903,” which is different than the “A1865,” “A1901” and “A1902” that are already out on the market. If this gold iPhone X is real, it won’t be too long before Apple introduces it for everyone.
