OnePlus CEO Pete Lau previously confirmed that their next smartphone, OnePlus 6, will feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 processor, and now it appears that a new leaked image of the chip running on the phone has surfaced.
Shared by TechTastic on Thursday, we see an image that shows the notched OnePlus 6 and a screen that shows some of the phone's specs. As you can see from the photo below, the OnePlus 6 looks virtually identical to the Oppo R15. This isn't come as a surprise seeing OnePlus often borrows designs from Oppo, and that was the case for the OnePlus 5T as well.
Lau previously confirmed on the OnePlus forums that the smartphone will feature the Snapdragon 845 chip, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. This is the same chip that Samsung introduced for their Galaxy S9 this year. So for all you OnePlus fans out there, you can expect a speedy smartphone to come from OnePlus.
Aside from the chip, RAM and storage, we're expecting the smartphone to come equipped with a 6.2-inch AMOLED display, Adreno 630 GPU, dual 16- and 20-megapixel rear cameras, rear mounted fingerprint sensor, and run on Android 8.1 Oreo right out of the box. Though keep in mind that these details haven't been officially confirmed by OnePlus just yet.
