Amazon Key brings fingerprint authentication to allow for in-home deliveries

While Amazon’s in-home delivery is convenient, it also brings up concerns in your mind seeing as the app that powers it isn’t entirely secure. The app gives full access to your smart loc and camera footage, and this raises concerns if the wrong person gets their hands on your mobile devices.

As of now, Amazon Key has brought a much needed improvement: fingerprint authentication (via Android Police). Amazon Key’s Android app now supports fingerprint authentication. Yo can just switch it on and you will be the only one who can open the door.

At this time, there’s no mention of when the iOS app will be updated, but it shouldn’t be too long. This update brings things into perspective because you’re putting a lot of trust in Key and its app, so making sure all of the security measures are properly there will help owners maintain their confidence and trust.
