Verizon is adding a new plan to its prepaid lineup. The company is adding a $30 per month plan that includes a measly 500MB of data per month. This deal doesn’t really look all that great considering the other prepaid plans the company offers. This new plan is available starting February 20th.
The other plans the company offers are 3GB for $40, 7GB for $50, 10GB for $60, or unlimited data for $75. Considering these, the 500MB option for $30 isn’t very appealing. The company says that 500MB should be sufficient for customers who are light data users, but also want to have light usage for Spotify and YouTube.
All of Verizon’s prepaid plans, including the new 500MB offering, comes with unlimited US talk and text, the option to carry over any leftover data from one month, mobile hotspot, and unlimited texting to over 200 countries. There’s also a new 3G mobile hotspots on the unlimited data plan, which wasn’t previously offered.
The company is also adding its $5 per day Travel Pass option for all prepaid lines, allowing users to make calls, text, and use data in Mexico and Canada. The start using Travel Pass, users can add the option in the My Verizon app before they go on trips.
