Tech companies react to FCC destroying net neutrality rules

The Jolt Journal (https://www.joltjournal.com)

Today, the US Federal Communications Commission, led by Chairman Ajit Pai, voted to completely dismantle net neutrality, remove the Title II classification and allow internet providers to do whatever they wish, including blocking, throttling, and prioritizing content.

Some tech companies like Apple, Facebook, Microsoft, and Facebook have kept a low profile in regards to the net neutrality fight so far, but there are many other companies speaking out against the FCC dismantling the net neutrality rules.

Here are what some companies are saying about today’s decision:

Netflix

Twitter

Mozilla

Instead of a tweet, Mozilla released a blog post saying that the company “incredibly disappointed that the FCC voted this morning – along partisan lines – to remove protections for the open internet.” The company urged Congress and the courts to continue to fight on having an open internet for all.
