Google makes Pixel 2 $100 cheaper, extends warranty to two years

Preorders for the iPhone X started today, and the initial stock is pretty much gone, at least for online orders that is. If you’re not interested in buying the iPhone X, you may want to have a look at the Pixel 2. Google’s Pixel 2 smartphone is one of the best alternatives to the iPhone X and its best competition.

The Pixel 2 is $100 cheaper than its regular stated price, and here’s something else you’re going to love: it comes with extended warranty. What does extended warranty mean? This means that instead of the standard 1-year warranty, Google is now extending the warranty period to 2-year period.

“We’re very confident that the Pixel 2 delivers an exceptional smartphone experience, and to give users peace of mind, every Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will now come with a 2-year warranty worldwide,” Google’s Mario Queiroz stated in a post on Google’s forum.

Mind you, this $100 discount isn’t really new. Best Buy launched their $100 promo off of the Pixel 2, if you get it with Verizon on a contract. The discount isn’t valid if you pay for the phone upfront. The 64GB version of the phone would cost you $550 over two-years instead of $650, and the 128GB version is also $100 cheaper.

If you don’t feel like paying over $1,000+ for the iPhone X, the Pixel 2 is a great alternative. It comes with powerful hardware, intuitive software, and best of all, it’s half the price of the iPhone X.
