New Star Wars: The last Jedi trailer is finally here

The moment you’ve been waiting for is finally here. All of you that are Star Wars fans, buckle your seats because we’ve got some action for you. A new trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi is finally here. Disney aired the latest installment of Rian Johnson’s upcoming film during Monday Night Football’s halftime show.

After watching the trailer, you won’t get anything big from it. Disney has demonstrated a lot of discipline in not revealing the plot or character secrets, so if you thought that you could get any glimpses, you’re out of luck. Even director Rian Johnson warned fans on Twitter that the hardest of the hardcore fans might want to avoid watching the trailer to preserve all of the surprises in-store.

Talking about what happened in the trailer, there several things to talk about. There’s a new look at Rey’s training on Ahch-To with Luke Skywalker, who tells her that he’s only seen power like hers once before — and that it didn’t scare him enough. He most likely is talking about Kylo Ren. There’s also Poe and Funn taking on the fight against the First Order. We see the trailer wrapping up by seeing Rey getting tortured by Supreme Leader Snoke, asking Kylo to show “show me my place in all this.”

If you’re interested, Lucasfilm also unveiled the theatrical poster for the film:

Even though the film will be released this coming December 15th, tickets for the film are now on sale.
