Amazon’s Alexa messaging and calling expands to UK and Germany

Amazon continues to expand the features of Alexa into different regions. This time around, the company has added support for messaging and calling in the UK, Germany, and Austria. The company previously revealed that it would be expanding the scope of Alexa’s communications to UK and Germany.

The update is rolling out this morning. Alexa’s choice calling features will work on the standard Echo or Echo Dot devices. In addition, you will also be able to call another Alexa-powered device, meaning you can call one another.

Speaking in terms of the Echo Show, this will also be supported on there. The Echo Show costs £199.99 / €219.99 and will be available next month in UK and Germany. If you an Android or iOS device, you can download the Alexa app and call Alexa devices.
