According to a major leak, Galaxy Notes 8 will blow other Android phone out of the water

According to a new leak from the well-known mobile leaker Evan Blass, he published information stating that the Galaxy Notes 8 will feature a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a 1440 x 2960 resolution, held in a waterproof IP68-rated body. The device will have a 8.5mm thickness, very slightly more than the Galaxy S8, which stands at a 8mm thickness.

As far as internals go, we have some more juicy details for you. The US version of the Galaxy Note 8 will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, and the international version will feature Samsung’s own Exynos 8895. Currently, we know that the Snapdragon 835 chipset powers the Galaxy S8 and S8+. With more tuning, we expect the system to perform better on the Note 8.

For RAM, we are going to see a monstrous 6GB RAM available in the Galaxy Note 8. This is a big internal upgrade from the Galaxy S8 which currently houses 4GB RAM. Both devices will have 64GB of on-board storage.

Let’s talk about the camera. Since the S8 and Note 8 are sharing several similar features, Samsung will really want to differentiate the Note 8 here. The Galaxy Note 8 will feature a dual-camera, much like the iPhone 7 Plus setup. One camera will serve as the main while the second will be a telephoto lens which will enable users to perform 2x optical zoom. The Note 8 will also have wide lenses, featuring f1.7 on the main lens and f2.4 on the telephoto lens.

Worried about battery life of the Note 8? Samsung will include a 3,300mAh battery in the device. After the previous battery fiasco that Samsung went through, you can be sure that the company will take all the necessary steps to ensure no battery problems occur again. Users will also have quick-charging with USB-C or wireless.

According to Blass, he states that the price of the device will be around $900, which puts it at quite a high end on the smartphone market. The phone will also launch in gold and black color choices, with grey and blue color selections coming at a later date.
