Best Buy offering minimum $100 for your old iPhone in trade-in program

bestbuy4:30 PM – Best Buy has been running many iPhone trade-in promotions for quite some time, most are just short, over the weekend promotions.  Yet, here is a new program they are running.

According to a new report from TechnoBuffalo, Best Buy is starting a new promotion that runs from October 13 to October 19.  In the promotion, customers will be given a minimum $100 for their iPhone.  The select iPhone(s) being traded in must be in working condition, crack-free and no water damage.

TechnoBuffalo says:

A trusted source has provided us with a screenshot of an internal Best Buy document that states the retailer will be running a promotion from Oct. 13 to Oct. 19 that will allow you to trade-in select smartphones and receive a minimum of $100 in credit. The phones must be in working condition and be free of cracked screens or water damage to qualify.

Here’s the catch though.  The credit you receive in the trade-in must be used towards a new purchase of an iPhone 5c or iPhone 5s.  You will have to sign a new 2-year contract with partnering carriers, such as AT&T and Verizon.

Do note that not all Best Buy locations will participate, so be sure to call your local Best Buy store ahead of time to ask if they are participating.  The value of your iPhone will depend on its condition, any or all original packaging you bring with you, as well as accessories.  It’s best to keep your accessories and trade in your original iPhone box along with your iPhone if you plan to trade it in.

Will you take advantage of this promotion?
